Recipe: Blackberry, Peach and Banana Smoothie
Many families this holiday season will make blackberry pies or peach cobblers for Thanksgiving dessert. With all of the starchy and thick foods that will be consumed, stay on track with your diet with this recipe for a blackberry, peach, and banana smoothie. It’s a great way to cut out the bad carbs and still enjoy a sweet ending to your Thanksgiving feast.
Blackberry, Peach and Banana Smoothie
Makes one smoothie
Ingredients:
- 1 peach
- 5 blackberries
- 1 frozen banana
- 3-4 spoonfuls of yogurt
- 2 splashes of 1% milk
Instructions:
- Dice up the peach
- Chop the bananas into several slices
- Place all of the ingredients in a blender until you have reached your desired consistency and smoothness
- Pour in a glass
- Place glass with smoothie in the freezer for 10 minutes
- Add a dollop of yogurt and enjoy
