Recipe Grilled Banana S'Mores

We want to give you some more recipes and a s’more recipe! In honor of S’mores Day next week on August 10, what better way to celebrate than to add bananas. Chocolate and bananas work wonderful together, but how about adding graham crackers and marshmallows? Trust us, this recipe is a divine little treat. 

Makes 9 S’mores

Ingredients:

  • Medium ripe bananas
  • Brown sugar
  • Large marshmallows
  • Peanut butter or chocolate spread
  • Graham cracker squares

Instructions:

  1. Heat a grill to medium or 350° F.
  2. Leave bananas in their skins and make 1 slit down the length of each banana.
  3. Pack the slits with brown sugar.
  4. Put the bananas on the grill and grill until soft and charred, about 5 minutes.
  5. Remove them to a cutting board and set aside to cool slightly.
  6. Peel the skins from the bananas and cut into 1/2-inch thick slices.
  7. Meanwhile, put the marshmallows on skewers and toast over the grill until brown and melty, about 2 minutes. (You can also brown the marshmallows using a hand-held torch.)
  8. To assemble, spread some peanut butter on graham crackers and top with bananas and marshmallows.
  9. Cover with another cracker and serve.
  10. Enjoy!
