Recipe Banana Cream Pie Milkshake

Fall is right around the corner, and although we think of milkshakes and cool drinks as a way to relieve the heat of the summer, they are also the perfect way to transition into the new season. This recipe for a banana cream pie milkshake is the perfect blend of summer and fall.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 1 ripe organic banana
  • 3 tablespoons – 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream, to top

Instructions:

  1. To make the graham cracker pie crumbs, preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Stir together the melted butter and graham cracker crumbs.
  3. Turn out onto a small baking sheet and bake for 7-10 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.
  5. In a blender, combine the ice cream, banana, milk, 1/2 cup of the graham cracker crumbs, and vanilla extract.
  6. Blend until smooth.
  7. Pour into your favorite glass, and top with whipped cream and a pinch of graham cracker crumbs.
