GROW Back to School 2013

GROW Back to School 2013

For many youths in the U.S., September is the time when school kicks back into gear; some may even be preparing for midterms. But in some countries, families may not have the economic resources to send their kids off to school. After a certain period of education, students must pay for their education starting in middle school. That’s where your support of GROW bananas comes in.

Thanks to supporters of the GROW program, many families in Mexico and Ecuador are now able to send their kids to school. Without GROW, many of these students would have to had to find work or ways to help support their family without formal education.

Through your kindness, these young scholars go above and beyond to help others who need educational support and provide community service in their home towns.

Below is a collection of images from Project Amigo in Colima, Mexico. You’ll see a group of young GROW Scholars who are continuing their education, tutoring those in need, and giving back to their community.
