Organics Unlimited GROW Fund is perhaps best known for providing education opportunities for the families of farm workers in Mexico, but they also have brought global awareness and encouraged relationships between countries.  In January 2009, 25 volunteers from the US and Canada took part in the 2^nd annual vision clinic made possible by The GROW Fund.

Following the success of last year’s vision clinic, another 225 agricultural workers were examined and provided corrective lenses.  Those visiting the clinic received diabetes and high blood pressure screenings, vision tests and eye exams.

The GROW Foundation’s vision clinic is just one example of how community involvement and pro-activity has led to a better world for Colima’s hard-working laborers.  Sharing experiences and stories, numerous GROW scholarship recipients from Cerro de Ortega were able to assist in the event. Their excitement confirms just how powerful the donations can be to their community.
