PEOPLE WE'VE HELPED
Children Learn Dental Hygiene

Children learn imortant life skills for their futures through village gatherings in Mexico.  One of the GROW scholarship recipients, Nin, is actively working to not only show her appreciation, but also teach the things she has learned to the younger children.  As part of the 2007 group who is currently reeiving educational help from GROW, she donates her time to others who have not yet had this opportunity, learning the imortance of becoming a leader in her community.

In October 2007, GROW worked with children at a Cerro de Ortega festival for the celebration of San Francisco de Assisi.  In a program called "Healthy Teeth, Happy Smiles," even the youngest learned good dental  hygiene, and received GROW toothbrushes to be able to use at home what they learned at the fiesta.  This was the first interactive and educational program for a Cerro de Ortega festival.  Through outreach like this, the families of workers continue to become more aware of what GROW is doing to improve their lives.
