Organics Unlimited has announced that New Seasons Markets in Portland, Oregon, is the winner of their 4^th quarter 2006 retail promotion, Go Bananas. The promotion provides a trip to Mexico later this year for the top selling retailer of GROW bananas. GROW, an acronym for Giving Resources and Opportunities to Workers, funds beneficial educational programs for workers and their families in Mexico. Representatives from New Seasons and their wholesaler, Organically Grown Company (OGC) of Eugene, Oregon, will be touring the banana plantations where Organics Unlimited grows the bulk of their bananas. They will also spend time reviewing the projects that have been accomplished through the GROW Foundation before going on to sunny Puerto Vallarta for a few days of relaxation and fun in this great beach resort community.

According to David Lively, Marketing Director for OGC, "We look for relationships with vendors who are capable of delivering on many levels. Quality of goods is certainly a big issue for us, since we distribute to some of the most knowledgeable organic retailers in the nation. But we also look beyond the product to the environment in which it is produced and marketed.
